Restaurants Canada held their annual RC Show 2018 entitled “UNLEASH YOUR SENSES” at the Enercare Centre from February 25 to 27, 2018. This was a large and impressive trade show for restaurateurs to discover new products to improve their business operations and to make new connections.
The Future of Cannabis
Fascinating was the panel discussion, the Future of Cannabis, on the legalization of marijuana in Canada and what the future will hold for the restaurant business as well as the future for medical marijuana. Dr. Peter M. Blecher, Chief Medical Officer, Starseed Medicinal Inc., discussed research in this area and how some medical cannabis cures pain but does not leave the patient high. Also interesting was the opposition to its legalization by Big Pharma as they funded opposition to legalization proposals in the U.S.A.

Starting in 2013 according to its website, Lainox transformed itself from a manufacturing company into a software company creating Naboo, a “new generation of combination ovens which unites technology and know-how, is constantly connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi and the Lainox Cloud: an encyclopedia collecting chefs’ recipes from around the world.”
