Electric Avenue & Test Drive:
The electric car is touted as a solution to the environment and to auto safety. But questions remain as to the viability of the electric automobile to reduce omissions as coal is used in the U.S. to generate electricity.
“We may not have a fully autonomous car on our streets yet, but the innovation and technology that are going to take us there are making our roads safer and making driving easier and more efficient,” says Jason Campbell, General Manager of the AutoShow. “What we are seeing in production models today used to be the dreams of concept cars and even science fiction. But the future is here, and it’s quite exciting.”
An autonomous car is an automobile that is capable of sensing its environment and navigating without human input. [www.wikipedia.org] The real question is will these vehicles improve to the extent that they will lower the number of deaths caused by automobile which is approximately 2000 deaths per year in Canada and 30,000 deaths per year in the U.S.A. [WHO report 2015 as reported in wikipedia.org] It has been reported that 2018 was a deadly year for auto deaths.
A wide selection of electric vehicles from auto manufacturers are on display, and available for you to test drive at this year’s auto AutoShow.
World Gaming Network Forza 7 Championship:
The Grand Finals of the World Gaming Network Forza 7 Championship takes place February 23, 2020 at this year’s AutoShow. The final 16 racers across the United States and Canada will compete for their share of the $20,000 prize pool.
