
The Honda Indy Toronto 2022, an annual IndyCar Series race, hit Toronto on the grounds of the C.N.E. from July 15 to 17, 2022. Indy Toronto includes the free by donation family Friday, three days of racing, the Honda World, Thunder Ally, Beer Gardens, qualifying races, the NASCAR Series Grand Prix of Toronto Race and the Verizon Indy Car Series Race.
The Main Event: Honda Indy Toronto Verizon IndyCar Series Race:
Scott Dixon won the Hondy Indy Toronto on Sunday July 17, 2022 by driving his No. 9 PNC Bank Chip Ganassi Racing Honda to a victory by nearly a second over 2nd place finisher Colton Herta driving the No. 26 Gainbridge Honda. Felix Rosenqvist finished third driving the No. 7 Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet.



This was Scott Dixon’s fourth career Toronto victory! Scott Dixon’s victory was his 52nd of his career which ties him with famed driver, Mario Andretti for No. 2 on the all-time INDYCAR SERIES win list – A.J. Foyt leads with 67 wins. “Ended a streak there, which is fantastic,” Dixon said. “Just so happy for the team. A crazy year for the 9. The PNC Bank No. 9 back in winner’s circle. It just feels so good.”
Scott Dixon came within one second of Simon Pagenaud who had won his first Honda Indy Toronto on Sunday July 14, 2019. He was leading for most of race but was challenged from Scott Dixon who came within one second of Pagenaud but was unable to pass.
Honda World:
This interactive fan area featured games, vehicle displays, activities and much more. Included were activities like face painting, racing simulators and a photo display with James Hinchcliffe’s show car.

Thunder Alley:
Thunder Alley had interactive contests and exhibits, food trucks and vendors, live entertainment, driver autograph sessions and family fun.
