159th Queen’s Plate 2018

The 159th Queen’s Plate was a hot stylish event!   Toronto’s elite came out to celebrate the event wearing stunning hats and elegant attire!

Wonder Gadot was victorious at Woodbine Racetrack on June 30th 2018 winning by 4 ¾ lengths.  The Queen’s Plate is a 1 ¼ mile race for Canadian bred three year olds and is the longest continuously-run horse race in North America

The 2-day Queen’s Plate festival was held on Friday, June 29 and Saturday June 30, 2018 amidst a Toronto heat wave.   On Saturday, the Hats & Horseshoes Party presented by Stella Artois was hosted by Brigitte Truong, Rick Campanelli, Sangita Patel, and Jennifer Valentyne.  After the running of the Queen’s Plate, Canadian indie rock band Born Ruffians opened for the Sam Roberts Band.

Expected VIPs in attendance were:  Tom Hopper, Humble the Poet, Cindy Sampson, Tantoo Cardinal, Samuel Girard, Kassandra Bradette, Mike Holmes, Mike Holmes Jr, Sherry Holmes, Emily Coutts, Wojtek, Alysha Newman, and Darren Dutchyshen
