Humber Celebrates its Gold Anniversary through Music

@HumberCollege celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a stunning concert at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.   The evening commenced with an elegant cocktail dinner.  It was followed by the concert featuring some of Canada’s best musicians with performances from Humber’s faculty big band directed by Denny Christianson featuring Pat LaBarbera and Al Kay with vocalists, Kurt Elling; Rik Emmett; Laila Biali; and Rich Brown’s band, rinsethealgorithm. Kurt Elling wowed the crowd along with Rik Emmett and Laila Biali and Pat LaBarbera played a mean Sax.  The night closed with a post-concert after-party, where the musicians and guests hung out.  The VIP portion of the night was $175 which included the pre-reception, the concert and the post-reception. The general admission tickets were $55 for the concert.  The event was very well attended and according to   the president of Humber College the event was very successful in raising funds for Humber College.
