Conn Smythe Sports Celebrities Dinner 2023 beautified the Royal York Hotel in Toronto on March 29, 2023 in support of Easter Seals Ontario’s annual campaign. Highlighting the event was a tribute to Three-Time Olympic Gold Medalist, Marnie McBean.

The evening started with a Pre-dinner Reception & Silent Auction and VIP Pre-Dinner Reception with access to the VIPs. It was followed by a fine dinner, Celebrity Interviews by Christine Simpson and Gord Stellick, a Live Auction and a VIP Post-Dinner Reception. Sid Seixeiro emceed the evening.
Olympic Gold Medalist Marnie McBean
The 72nd annual Rogers Conn Smythe Sports Celebrities Dinner and Auction honoured three-time Olympic gold medalist, Marnie McBean with the Conn Smythe Lifetime Achievement Award. Other VIPs at the event were Argos Grey Cup MVP, Henoc Muamba; former Toronto Maple Leafs star, Rick Vaive; former Toronto Maple Leafs player Dave “Tiger” Williams; former Toronto Blue Jays catcher and World Series MVP, Pat Borders; former NHL coaching great and player, Bruce Boudreau; CBC sports legend, Scott Russell; Canadian sledge hockey star, James Dunn; Buffalo Beauts of the PHF star and Mikyla Grant-Mentis.
“We are thrilled to be back this year for the 72nd Conn Smythe Dinner, it will be great to see all of our friends and great supporters again,” said Scott Morrison, Chair of the Dinner Committee. “It’s always a fun night, but this one will be even more special and our committee has assembled an amazing head table. More than 750 guests attended this evening, all for a worthy cause to support program and services to children with physical disabilities and their families administered by Easter Seals. Featured at the event were appearances of this year’s “two Provincial Easter Seals Ambassadors, who are selected to represent kids with physical disabilities across Ontario.”
