CNIB Finer Things Gala 2023 Graces Toronto

CNIB Finer Things Gala 2023 raised much needed funds for Canadians with sight.  It was held at the stunning Artscape Wychwood Barns in support of the CNIB. It also raises awareness for those with sight loss. Guest speakers outlined its five year plan.  There was strong performances by Canadian artists especially opera singer Measha Brueggergosman-Lee as well as live art drawings.  CNIB ambassador Ben Mulroney welcomed guests back to a live event after 3 long years for the CNIB.

There was a silent and live auction to raise funds for a worthy cause.  This Gala had a wine tasting theme starring world famous award winning Inniskillin icewine.

The dim lighting reflect the sight loss to enhance understanding and guests wore an eye mask to heightened their sense of taste, feel and smell by wearing an eye mask.

Five Year Plan

Guest speakers introduced the theme of the evening, the Way Forward, by reminding CNIB supporters online and in attendance that more than 25,000 charities were lost during the Covid-19 pandemic.  The 5 year plan is to remove barriers wherever and whenever possible, make door to door journeys easier and to recognize that children with sight loss are the future leaders for CNIB
