Torontartsandevents recently had the opportunity to attend and review Picasso: Painting the Blue Period @AGOToronto.
Torontartsandevent’s favourite international artist is now showing at Toronto’s Art Gallery of Ontario: Picasso: Painting the Blue Period. During the early years (1901 to 1904) of his career, he developed his Blue Period style as he travelled between the cities of Bardelona and Paris. These works show Picasso dealing with issues such as inequality, war, poverty, and labour unrest – just as we are today! Also, the exhibition explains the current scientific and historical research undertaken by the AGO and the Philips Collection for this period.
This is an important show which is running until January 16, 2022! For more information go here Picasso: Painting the Blue Period.
