Casey House held Art with Heart, a stunning party and auction at the beautiful Art Gallery of Ontario to raise funds in support of innovative HIV/AIDS care at Casey House on October 8, 2019. Torontoartsandevents was there to capture this exciting event and the great art. It was chaired by Stephan Jost, Art Gallery of Ontario Michael and Sonja Koerner, Director and CEO.
The preview reception before the live auction with an open bar and great food gave the generous guests the opportunity to study each work in the collection and select which pieces to bid for. This great evening featured a live and silent auction of prints, paintings, drawings, textile and sculptural work by some of the country’s foremost established and emerging artists. The bids during the live auction were greater than the estimate price raising a great deal of money for Casey House. For example, Steve Driscoll’s Always Changing sold for $20,000 and had an estimate of $ 14,000.
