The Chocolate Ball!!
CHOC 'N' ROLL

The fourth annual Chocolate Ball in support of the Ava Rose Fund and SickKids Foundation was held Friday October 23, 2009 at the Palais Royale Ballroom in Toronto, Ontario, Canada! "The Chocolate Ball is a fundraising event to be held annually in October, "Breast Cancer Awareness" month. The Chocolate Ball will help fund specific organizations and foundations that support breast cancer programs and initiatives. .... Guests are in for an elegant evening POWERED BY CHOCOLATE!! A 150 ft. Chocolate Buffet will be the highlight attraction with more then 200 varieties of decadent chocolates, deliciously exotic chocolate desserts, chocolate drinks and chocolate infused foods tempting the taste buds of all those who will be in attendance." [thechocolateball.ca]

This event was held in Support of The Ava Rose Fund/SickKids Foundation. The event celebrated the bands and the costumes of the 1950's and 1060's. The night started off with specialized chocolate infused coco d'euvres served at several food stations and the highlight of the evening was the Chocolate Buffet packed with a wide variety of chocolate desserts and Chocolate Stations! Some say that women like chocolate better than sex; however, most just told TorontoArtsandEvents! that they liked both! What about you?

The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation's mission is to raise funds for research, teaching and compassionate care at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto. The Campbell Family Institute is Canada's first and only research facility dedicated exclusively to breast cancer research. According to the hospital, there are one hundred clinicians and scientists researching cures for breast cancer and they want your support!!

The Chocolate Ball 2009 was a fine event that raised funds for a worthy cause; namely, The Ava Rose Fund/SickKids Foundation. It was a fine event; however, TorontoArtsandEvents feels it would be better if drinks were included rather than have a cash bar. Check back here to for the Chocolate Ball 2010!!
